This is the perfect on the go breakfast for busy people! Packed with protein, no added sugar and a good dose of fibre too.
Most people add honey or maple syrup to their smoothies but don’t forget, when we are trying to keep our added sugars each day to less than 6 tsp (what the World Health Organisation are saying is they way to go), being too heavy handed on the honey or maple syrup quickly clocks up your sugar load. Much better to get yourself used to less sweet tasting foods :)
Ingredients
- 1/2 apple with skin on
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 3/4 cup unsweetened yogurt
- 1/2 cup low fat milk
- 1/2tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp nuts/seeds of your choice
Method
Blend together in a blender and voilà, there you have it!
